Tyn Cellar Farm Holiday Cottages and B&B

Tyn Cellar Farm dates back to the 1300s and was originally an important part of the Margam Abbey Estate. The Farm has 2 x 1 bedroom cottages, The Dairy and the Milking Parlour. Two x2 bedroom cottages, Tyn Cellar Cottage and the Stables which will sleep 8. The Lodge is a 3 bedroom cottage. There is also a 1 bedroom apartment, the Tack Room, as well as the 2 bedroom Granary apartment. The Apartments are accessed via external stone stairs.
The Farm is ideal for large families and groups as the cottages can accommodate 27 adults as well as 12 people in the 4 star listed The Barn B&B which on site.
We have 2 halls on site. Henrietta's Hall which is used for Meditation twice a week and is a quiet space.
The other larger hall is Tyn Cellar Community Hall. This is available to hire for a variety of uses including weddings, family gathering, community events, birthday parties or business conference events, and can seat 40 people. It has its own kitchen attached so can be used to provide food.
All the cottages were newly converted in 2016 and 2017 from Victorian farm buildings into lovely spacious self catering units keeping as much of the original features as possible.
All the Cottages have modern well equipped kitchens and spacious living rooms that have reclaimed hardwood floors and underfloor heating. All bedrooms have Superking zip and link beds and most have vaulted ceilings and en-suite showers.
Tyn Cellar Holiday Cottages are situated midway between J37 and J38 of the M4 so are ideally placed for guests who want to come and explore South Wales.
Cardiff and the Principality Stadium is 30 minutes away, whilst Swansea is a 15 minutes drive. Margam park is situated 1 mile from us with its castle and its outstanding Orangery that is in constant use for weddings and other events.
The world renowned Kenfig Nature Reserve is on our doorstep, and Porthcawl with is Royal Golf club with its blue flag beach and Surfing school is only 10min away.
